1. What is the Syngenta Group Compliance Helpline?
The Syngenta Group Compliance Helpline is a reporting system managed by a third party provider to facilitate asking questions or reporting potential violations of our Code of Conduct, policies, or laws. All reports are taken seriously and managed by Syngenta Group’s dedicated Compliance team in accordance with the company’s Code of Practice for Investigating Code of Conduct and Other Policy Violations.
2. Who can use the Compliance Helpline?
The Compliance Helpline is available to all Syngenta Group employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders worldwide.
3. What type of questions or issues should be raised through the Compliance Helpline?
You can ask questions or report any suspected violations of Syngenta Group's Code of Conduct, policies, or applicable laws. This includes, but is not limited to:
Fraud or financial irregularities Conflicts of interest Harassment or discrimination Bribery and Corruption Data privacy breaches Antitrust violations

4. What if it is an emergency?
The Compliance Helpline is not an emergency service. If there is imminent threat to personal safety or life, contact your local police, fire, or emergency services number and then report the incident to the relevant function when it is safe to do so.
5. How can I ask a question or report an issue?
Questions and reports can be submitted the following ways:

6. Can I as a question or report an issue anonymously?
Yes. When you make a report using the Compliance Helpline, you will get generic log-in credentials which will allow you to follow up on your case anonymously. Please note, however, that providing your name significantly increases the chances of a thorough and successful investigation.
7. What happens after I ask a question or report an issue?
You will receive a unique case number and password
Your query or report will be reviewed by our Compliance Team
If it is a question, the Compliance Team will respond. If you are reporting an issue, the Compliance Team will assess if an investigation is warranted and will ensure that appropriate follow up action is taken

8. How is my confidentiality protected?
Syngenta Group takes confidentiality seriously. Your identity will be protected to the fullest extent possible in carrying out a thorough investigation in compliance with local laws.
9. Will I face retaliation for reporting a compliance issue?
Syngenta Group strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith or participates in an investigation.
10. How long does the investigation process take?
The duration varies depending on the complexity of the issue. We strive to complete investigations as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
11. What if I reported anonymously and I lose my report key or password?
You will be asked to file a new report if you lose either your report key or your password.
12. How can I follow up on my report?
You can use your case number and password to check the status of your report through the online portal or by calling the Compliance Helpline.
13. What if I'm not sure if something is a violation?
If you're unsure, it's always better to report your concern or ask a question. Our Compliance Team will assess the information and determine if further action is needed.
14. Is the Compliance Helpline available 24/7?
Yes, the online portal and phone lines are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year in many different languages
15. How does feedback work after submitting a report? Will I receive information about the progress or actions taken?
When you submit a report, you will receive a case number that allows you to track the status and, if needed, provide additional information. When the case is resolved, very limited information can be shared. To ensure confidentiality and protect all parties involved, details about the progress of the investigation or any actions taken will not be provided.
